False Creative

False Creative is a team of five hand-selected undergraduate students studying Public Relations at the University of Colorado Boulder. Together we are competing against colleges across the nation in the 2022-23 Bateman Case Study Competition created by the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). As an advanced capstone project, we are working to combine all that we have learned during our college careers so that we can apply it to a live campaign.

PRSSA Bateman Competition

The PRSSA Bateman Case Study Competition provides public relations students with the opportunity to apply their education to the creation and implementation of a campaign for an actual client. Each year, more than 75 teams are given a client before embarking upon the challenging step-by-step process of researching, planning, and executing the desired goals. After an extensive judging process, three finalists are selected to present their campaigns to the client.

ABOUT

_DSC0111.jpeg

The 2022-23 Bateman Competition client is The News Literacy Project (NLP). The NLP is a national non-partisan organization that works to build a movement of individuals dedicated to the practice of news literacy to create a more well-informed, reliable society, and therefore democracy. Misinformation and the lack of news literacy has become an immediate threat to the public resulting in a decrease in trust and an increase in misguided controversy. With far-reaching consequences that are detrimental to the public’s ability to make knowledgeable decisions, there is an urgent need for news literacy growth.
